He did have a .476 OPS at Single A, afterall. I guess that’s just good enough to get promoted to AAA, not the majors.

We’ve been here for a few months now. If a guy wants to spend a fairly low-round pick on his family while the parent team is in first place, fuck it, it’s his team AND HIS MONEY. Could it be more efficient? Sure. Is it a “joke”? Absolutely not. Is it how you would run your team? Perhaps not.

The Sox have faced Dice-K, Wakefield, and Lee in three out of the last four games and the offense has been non-existent. Getting owned by Bowden was annoying though.
In any case, they better learn how to hit again — even against good pitchers — because they will be facing quite a few of them in this last month.

I would like some better moderation tools. Most serious comment implementations have some sort of way to rate posts/posters down and set a threshold for how well rated something needs to be to be displayed (controllable by each user).
I know this is run by the DailyKos folk so I imagine they are pretty busy with the election, but hopefully this site gets some TLC in the offseason.
