    when i first heard them, i was kinda skeptical, but what really impressed me was the way they covered songs.

    they do an amazing job. the first concert i went to they played “been caught stealing” and it was awesome.

    Any thoughts? Because he was one of the best solo acts I ever saw – at Shuba’s a few years back. Absolutely amazing.

    Yeah, well, I am providing what I thought...from when I felt I had an opinion on the subject....albeit I never got into the jam band scene and only know of those two bands from devout friends.

    So I’m not claiming my thought is well-backed. Just saying what I always thought from hearing pieces of both…I liked WSP better.

    I did just attend a weekend-long music festival 3 weeks ago.

    The scene was fantastic – something I can only handle in small doses – but DAMN! I could have watched them hippies dance allllll day and night.
    This atmosphere too, at Summer Meltdown (which was the best fest I’ve ever been to), was so laid-back. People were just walking around doing and smoking whatever they wanted.
    No law officials at all.

    I didn't think I could either, but it ended up being some of the best people-watching I've done since the Swap Meet.

    I only knew one band going into it...one of my best group of friends out here is the Panda Conspiracy (and their ladyfriends).

    So we got to camp with the bands and had a whole jam area set up – it was so freaking awesome.

    But aside from that, the bands I did get to see were all really fun – That One Guy is a trip to see perform live.
