you won't like this
The Twins have been closely watching Joe Crede’s workouts in Arizona and are expected to pursue the former White Sox third baseman if he proves he’s healthy. Crede, 30, who underwent back surgery last October, hit 17 home runs with 55 runs batted in for Chicago in 97 games last season.

If recovered, Crede would be a perfect fit for the Twins. The only other club seeking an everyday third baseman is San Francisco. The Twins probably could sign Crede to a one-year deal for $5 million, with about $3 million available in performance bonuses.

The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.

seems like the consensus was "don't retain crede"

i would assume because people don’t think he’d be worth the money. should people be concerned if he signs with the twins?

the ringtone being very crede-heavy was the reason for my post

but seeing joe on the twins won’t be nice too

you think he'll be worth the money?

i wonder if the twins wouldn’t just be better off moving cuddyer back to third and going with an outfield of young, gomez, and span. of course, that may well depend upon what one thinks of young. seems early to write off a 23 year old, especially after you just traded for him a year ago. but the twins and others mileage may vary.

I think we all know, it depends on his back

if the back holds then $5m is a pretty good deal, if it doesn’t then it’s not
and we’re not privy to joe’s medical files

if I was in charge I wouldn’t give up on young, I’d follow your plan
but who knows what will the twins do
the guy at the link above says he’d be surprised if young is with the twinkies come may

maybe the twins don’t like his attitude something…

if hes healthy

absolutely Id like to see them sign him.

5 million for last years model though, I dont know.
still-
Josh Fields is our guy right now.
He can probably kill two roles from last year with one stone, Swishers average and Credes 20+ errors, but thats not what I want.

"Thats terrible." - President Obama at the Commander-In-Chief Ball, to a soldier in Afghanistan from Chicago after Mr. President asked him if he was a Cubs fan or a Sox fan and the grunt said Cub fan. Out of the seven Chicagoland sodiers, 4 said Cubs, 3 said Sox.
