the only thing i'm going to predict
is that arod won’t be hitting any 320 foot home runs to stright away right field.

boy, tim mccarver is really impressed by tyler kepner of the new york times
because kepner wrote that arod “is hitting home runs with freakish regularity.”
gosh.

joe buck called that a good curve ball
before it even reached the plate and was then tomahawked into right field by matsui. and of course mccarver could only muster up “it had good break to it”. it was the definition of a hanging breaking ball.

brian anderson would have caught it.
and yes, maybe hairston had no shot but only because he took a crap route. i think a lot of outfielders catch that.

well, the ball was, in chip caray parlance, a rocket
but seeing how deep it was i think it was in the air for a decent amount of time. i saw hairston trying to recover from a bad route and then comically running into the wall and falling down. for some reason, of the 30 video highlights from the game on mlb, the game winning hit is not one of them so i only saw it the 2 times they showed it.
