Good, me neither.

My thyroid is a little out of whack, so I have super high metabolism as well. I can eat about anything and not gain much. Not too say my cholesterol and blood pressure won’t get affected.

What kills me is the people that go into McDonalds, order the Big Mac meal, extra cheeseburger, milk shake and then ask for a diet coke…like that is gonna help. That’s where I was going with that….

You got that right...we got a whole production this weekend and I am the captain in charge. (scary)

Got the my sister in law/ bro in law / niece flying in from LA tonight, her parents coming up Sunday with some other friends from Joliet – we are all meeting at the train station and then I have an itinerary for everyone…got almost all of the last 10-miles staked out, plus a few early ones. I am going to run with her from mile 22-24. It is supposed to be really, really cold though. High of about 45 degrees – so the start time will be about 38 degrees.

I don’t know how you guys run that far…insane amount of training and running.

I can hang for a half marathon, but that’s all I got.

One of my fave days of the year in NYC is marathon Sunday

I cheered on a buddy last year…and was drinking steadily throughout the day. What started out as cheering on passerby turned into all out heckling by the 6th or 7th hour. A truly great experience all-around.

The weather is a crapshoot.

in 2006 my wife ran it in 33 degree weather. When I ran it the following year it was 88. 88!! For the first time in my life I thought I was gonna die. And the previous year my wife’s lips were blue. 45 degrees is fine as long as there isn’t a lot of wind. (Good luck.)

ouch

did you take off your sports watch and shove it up your ass, just in case?

This watch was on you daddy’s wrist when he was shot down over Hanoi. He was captured and put in a Vietnamese prison camp. He knew that if the gooks ever saw the watch, they’d confiscate it—take it away. The way your dad looked at it, this watch was your birthright. He’d be damned if any slope’s gonna put their greasy yellow hands on his boy’s birthright. So, he hid it, in one place he knew he could hide something: his ass. Five long years he wore this watch . . . up his ass. Then, he died of dysentery, he give me the watch. I hid this uncomfortable hunk of metal up my ass two years. Then, after seven years, I was sent home to my family. And now, little man, I give the watch to you.

I shit you not, I had this exact thought today.

I went to the library over lunch (is it just me, or does the act of searching for a book in the library trigger the poop reflex?). I found myself wishing that I would have weighed myself before and after, because I think I would have set some kind of record.

If you like, I can provide more information about this. LMK, K? Bye.

listening to Berman on the radio is actually worse than when he's on television

I read some bitching about Chip Carey, but I really think Berman gives him a run for his money.

To paraphrase – That was had the length, but was just foul. It landed about 10 feet left of the foul pole…just foul. I reserve “just foul” for less than 5 feet foul, but that’s just me.

He also had his homerun call for a popup that was caught on the grass. What. A. Douche.

Beginning Wednesday, street light banners commemorating a series of special events in Chicago are going on the auction block for charity.

Some of the banners were shown off Tuesday, including those featuring Pres. Barack Obama both before and after his election.

A White Sox World Series Championship banner, signed by pitcher Mark Buehrle, is also being sold, as is a Blackhawks playoff banner signed by Denis Savard and Stan Mikita.

The bidding starts at 12 p.m. Wednesday at Daley Center. Money raised goes to help the Chicago Anti-hunger Federation and the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
