Rob Neyer ranks the top 100 players of the 00's. Arbitrary cutoff of a given 10 year span? Sure. But Buerhle is 29th overall and the 8th pitcher behind such luminaries as Doc, Johan and Mo.

Congrats Mark!

26th overall

One spot ahead of Jim Thome, one spot behind CC Sabathia. Vazquez was 29th (Still like that trade for him, and subsequent trading of him away to the Braves).

yes, 26th. my reading

comprehension isn’t that great, apparently. And I loved the Vazquez pickup, not terribly happy about the trade away. But, if flowers can do his thing, he should be an above average regular by 2012.

not bad for a 38th round draft pick.

mlb network had a top ten pitchers of the decade on the other day. buehrle was not on it and javier vazquez was. : (

Why is Konerko not on that list

He should be somewhere in the top 100

by Looney_Bucky on Dec 15, 2009 11:34 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Not only not on the list....

But somehow Konerko isn’t even better than Corey Koskie and/or Cliff Floyd?
