Marquez states Ozzie is best manager in MLB

Marquez on comparison to Jon Garland: "Can't be a bad thing to be compared to someone with such a good sinker."

Feels his curve ball ("knuckle curve") has improved.

Is working on a slider, which he started throwing a little over a year ago, aiming to be a four-pitch pitcher.

reporter: "What did you hear about ozzie before you actually came?"

Marquez: "Best manager to play for"

reporter: (laughing)

Marquez: "That's honestly what I heard, (when) talking to a couple of guys."

i don't think either of them have (as of yet) declared another manager the best. especially while playing for someone other than the "best" manager.

Yeah, so OC likes Scioscia and publicly said he preferred him to Oz.

My point was that others do not think Ozzie is the best. I’m not in a contest.

Is everyone in a bad mood today? Market getting folks down? Cold/snow?

well, i'm not sure i've heard those guys say that.

who knows. maybe javy thinks ozzie is great. sometimes that hardass is the one you like best.

Javy gets called out, practically being termed “gutless”, down the stretch. His quotes after the Braves trade shaped my assumption.
