I mentioned a Carlos Quentin projection in the Gavin Floyd Extension piece, and now seems like as good a time as any to start these up again.

I don't think I have to give much, if any, background on Q! He's a former first round pick, top 20 prospect in baseball, who found himself without a position thanks to the D'back dumb re-signing of Eric Byrnes. Traded to the Sox for the big power bat of Chris (Vernon) Carter, puts up MVP caliber season for 5 months before a self-inflicted wrist fracture takes him out for the rest of the season.

Q!uestions

Can Quentin repeat his '08 breakout? Will he experience a normal falling back to earth? How will his wrist injury effect his power?
