Wow. Cop was quite a douche.

So many cops I’ve met are on a power trip and are more interested in showing off their muscle than actually trying to serve the community. Seems like they want to just prove a point.

I will say though that Moats was initially unco-operative and probably should have done things differently. I doubt I would have been able to do any better though giving the circumstances.

This one's fun

I’m still on the Us and MN at the top bandwagon, but I’m curious to see how everyone shakes out. I know there’s a lot of Indians love here.

Wow

That is up straight garbage. Do people actually take that site seriously?

I like how they describe Jenks as “shaky”.

I, for one, am glad Cubs site moderator has decided the Sox won't be any good

No point in paying attention now. When a Cubs fan predicts something, it’s gold.

Confusion breeds success. If they don't know each other, opponents can't have strategy. GENIUS.

by Ozzie Montana on Mar 26, 2009 6:25 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

I didn't think it was that bad

Pretty much what I’ve read elsewhere regarding the strengths and weaknesses of the AL Central teams, with a bit of Cubs context given. Considering they posted it on a Cubs blog, what the hell were you expecting?

You are right. But larry is actually a prick too.

Also it seems that

the majority of his argument for his pick of Cleveland finishing first is because they added two former cubs.

but when you talk about Cleveland’s powerful lineup and include garko but not v-mart or shoppach, credibility does come into question

by U-God on Mar 26, 2009 6:49 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

it wasn't meant to be all that thorough

he was more just picking through tid bits and then giving his prediction. his actual order and number of wins isn’t that bad except for the Tigers. but let’s recall just how far off BP and such are when they predict this stuff at the beginning of the season.

really, it’s most important to assess talent as it is. talent is added and subtracted all the time in season via trades that couldn’t have been predicted.

Important enough

To shoot them from third last year to first this year? Granted they did look good at the end of the season last year.

The gang is all here
For those wondering about those wide-ranging rumors regarding the White Sox possibly acquiring Melky Cabrera, Gary Matthews, Jr. or even Juan Pierre as the team’s leadoff man/center fielder, manager Ozzie Guillen seemed to squelch that talk following Thursday’s 3-1 loss to Arizona at Camelback Ranch.

“No, we’re not going [outside],” said Guillen, when asked if talk came up centering on names not in camp during the staff’s daily meetings. "I don’t want that to happen, I don’t like that to happen. If we have to go outside the organization right now, gosh, I’m not going to say we’re in trouble, but as a ballclub we have enough guys here to resolve that problem.’’

So, it looks as if the final two roster spots for position players, assuming Brian Anderson is on the roster, will come from the group of Dewayne Wise, Brent Lillibridge and Jerry Owens. At this point, the White Sox will not take on any more payroll, which rules out a number of potential outside options, unless the offering franchise picks up a bulk of the contract.

http://scottmerkin.mlblogs.com/archives/2009/03/the_gang_is_all_here.html

The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.

We’re missing a good center fielder, not a true one.

we are a pretty pessimistic bunch, actually

we did this last year and were collectively more uncertain about the Sox than any other team.
