Dotel knows what year it is, thinks we're morons
"I don't know what people are worrying about in spring training," Dotel said Monday. "If it was the [regular] season, that's different. But it's spring training 2009, Cactus League.
"What I did in the [regular] season, that's what counts. I don't know why people are worrying about it in spring training."

I tend to agree, although when almost everyone is saying that same thing, ie that you suck and that you're missing velocity
that’s not a good sign by any means, but he has plenty of time.
I guess I'd forgotten the extent of his tudiness
down the stretch last season. I’m not one to read into the preseason at all, either, but for a 35 year old reliever with what seems to be declining stuff, you might hope to see shreds of, you know, competence.
if he's getting hit around by people on his new changeup, which is what seems to be the case, i think people probably should shut up.
and missing velocity over a month before the season. whoop de fuck.

yea, he has a month. it's easy to not realize that spring training started a week early and teh games are starting a week later
one might actually be concerned if a 35 year old with durability issues in the past is real sharp over a month before the season starts.
he showed up supposedly in better shape than the last season. i’d rather he worked on his changeup for the rest of the month – you know, try to improve? – and quit worrying about what a dumbfuck like joe cowley thinks he should do on february 28.

If Dotel honestly worries about what Cowley thinks
he’s got bigger problems than his baseball career.
that was unclear grammar on my part. i find it silly when cowley and others write these things which then gain currency with "sox fans/morons".
i meant “we” should quit worrying about what cowley thinks.
