walker fixes alexei
“It’s my mechanics right now,” said Ramirez through translator Ozney Guillen. "We’re watching video from last year, and [hitting coach] Greg Walker said my bat is too much around my head and I got to be more upright.
“I’m always a slow starter. I want to do my best in the beginning and help the team, but I always get better as the season goes on.”
The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.
Lillibridge also has an opportunity for more consistent at-bats. Although he came into Sunday’s game hitting .067, Lillibridge has been doing his job at the top of the order with a .333 on-base percentage.
“The thing is — every game I played in, I’ve felt great,” Lillibridge said. "I have had great at-bats and swung at good pitches. I’m just not getting balls to drop so far.
“Just getting on base, that’s the biggest thing. I’m happy if I get a couple of walks, even with no hits.”
The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.
Lillibridge added, “I hate when Thome puts me in his front shirt pocket. Sometimes I get lost in there for hours!”
“In celebration of my performance today, i’m gonna have an extra helping of dew drops and pollen.”

Q!
Leads the league with 7 now right?
"...and when it comes to baseball, we have two favorite clubs: the Go-Go White Sox...and whoever plays the Cubs!!!"
on pace for 94.5?
cst_sox: It took Quentin 25 games last season to reach seven homers. He’s done it in 12 games this year.
anything less than 90 is unacceptable Q!

before today's game:
Power ball: Carlos Quentin hit another home run, his sixth of the season. Since the start of last year, the White Sox’ left fielder has 42 HR, the most in the AL.

well, he is God's son.
do you think God would let his son have a shitty slugging percentage?

Rotoworld
Gavin Floyd held the Rays to two runs over seven innings Sunday as the White Sox picked up the victory 12-2.
Floyd struck out seven and didn’t walk one batter. He has been handed excellent run support this year and it shows in his 2-1 record, despite a 4.74 ERA. You’d be crazy to expect stats similar to what he posted in 2008, but hopefully he can keep rolling when he battles the Blue Jays next week.
I disagree
that is such a lazy blurb from them

" That just makes me want to puke all over your head, sir."
why waste your time writing about a bad team with a non-scary lineup?

i know you'll like this
The White Sox will take a tour of the White House during Monday’s day off.
But it hasn’t been determined if the Sox will have an opportunity to meet their No. 1 fan – President Obama.
Not all members of the White Sox’s traveling party will visit the White House, but a large contingent is expected to travel from Baltimore, where they will open a three-game series Tuesday night.

I saw that
Pretty cool.
I’m just glad I will have baseball to watch while in Aurora… I spend the next 3 mondays to fridays there

good to see them
battle back after being down 2-0 to dominate the last 40 minutes
2nd off, I have not lived in bolingbrook for years.
I totally forgot the Royals
were 8-5 with 33 runs allowed last year at this point. They also led the Central by .5 game.

They are proclaimed as the division leader
on ESPN’s Baseball Tonight… I guess they are ignoring the team they share the lead with
