The White Sox will show a video tribute to former third baseman Joe Crede before Friday night’s game with Minnesota.
Crede, who signed with the Twins as a free agent last February, played for the Sox from 2000-08 and provided stellar defense and clutch hitting before being nagged by back injuries.
The Sox will give Crede a chance to address the fans if he chooses.
“Joe is very special in this house,” Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said before Thursday’s game with Kansas City.
Just curious, did they do this for Frank? I honestly don't remember.
