just checked out the boxscore

so padilla gave up only 1 hit, walked 4 and struck out only one?

this makes me think that we were at least hitting the ball and were unlucky at where the ball went? or were they mostly soft ground balls and pop ups? id certainly hope for the former, but absolutely would not rule out the latter.

I don't recall the Rangers defense breaking a sweat. Think the most they had to move was for Q's double-shoulda-been-triple. Padilla sucked. We just suck more.

i've wanted to say that

but the Sox just aren’t hitting the ball that hard. lower third in wOBA, 24th in BB/K, average ISO and basically at the median in BABIP. Thome and Alexei need to de-suck at the plate before this team will be good offensively.
