Quentin is on his way back to Chicago with the left foot injury.

White Sox interim manager Joey Cora said Quentin is scheduled to have shock wave treatment on his foot but didn’t think there was any structural damage.

“They don’t think it’s anything really bad,” Cora said before Sunday’s game, Chicago’s fourth straight loss. “It’s just a bad spot, I guess.”

Quentin tested his foot with some soft toss before Sunday’s game. Depending on how Monday’s treatment goes, Cora said Quentin could play Tuesday when the White Sox host Minnesota.

The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.

I'm just mentioning it because I have my ticket and if anyone here wants it (or wanted to bring a friend), it's all yours (no charge).

I’m going to be all over the place this week (going to see the Hawks in Detroit on Tuesday as well as shuttling to and from summer school at Marquette) so as long as you’re somewhere in or around Chicago I can drop the ticket off.

Let me know.

If there's a bright side it's that they're driving the stake into the 2009 season early

none of that putzing around and playing .500 ball. The Sox have some useful players who will be sought after at the deadline (Dye, Dotel, Jenks and Colon) — better to bury our hopes early than to try and fool us into thinking, “if you squint your eyes there’s a chance we can pull it out!”

What sucks is the players who are supposed to be part of the next set of good Sox teams — Floyd, Ramirez and to lesser extents Quentin and Danks (“to lesser extents” because their starts haven’t been awful) — having absolutely miserable starts. Seriously… I thought regression for Floyd meant an average-ish pitcher, not completely useless. The stuff is still there but the command had been fucking awful so far.

anyone still interested in meeting up before the game for some beerz?

I know our options are limited here. I know of Jimbos and First Base that are close to the stadium, and I have never ventured into First Base (ha!)

But we can also always meet up somewhere in the south loop for a few or any joint close to the red line. I know Hazymania wanted to do something like that. Hazy, you want to do a fanpost for this?

its a little bit of a walk, about 2 miles, but you may be able to find free parking. its at 27th and Loomis and two people can casually split a sixer of tall boys on the walk to the stadium.

CWSKieth, my flite gets in at 8 and could probly get there by the 5th…if no one takes the ticket, id love it. i dont live in Chicago anylonger and have yet to catch a game
