I think the worst I ever saw was 14-0 to Oakland in the late 90s.

But I got a free Sox(MB bank) fishermans hat, so that was nice.

White Sox on pace to be shut out 32 times this year. woo!

4/2/98

Last time the Sox allowed 20 to a team beside the Twinks (Minny got us for 20 in July of ’07).

was at that doubleheader

lost first game 20-14, second game 14-0.

What's the record

for largest differential between earned runs and runs allowed by one pitcher in a single game? I don’t feel like searching.

by onthemark12 on May 21, 2009 4:35 PM CDT reply actions

I was there. Got a nice tan. Decent eye candy too.

When the 16th run crossed the plate, I had this image of a shirtless Bartolo in the clubhouse, face buried in a coconut cake.

i imagine that game would have been a blast to be at....

i imagine i’d stop caring about the score after around the 5th twins run…

Never sat on the Fan Deck before. Nice.

Everyone cheered when the 20th run crossed the plate. People like round numbers.

by larry on May 21, 2009 5:16 PM CDT up reply actions

Yes

First they had the main hold up being the last year of the contract.

Now I hear it’s not about the contract but mainly about Peavy again. But this time, Peavy is deciding if he can win with the Sox

Agreed.

In some way I’m pissed at Williams. He knew Peavy would reject the trade.

It reminds me of a childhood experience. I always was asking my dad if we could stop at a place on the west side at Laramie and Division called Dutches. They had great fries and malts. Usually he said “we’ll see,” which I knew meant “no” and I wish he would have just said “no.” It would have been more honest.

One time he said “OK, we’ll stop there.” We got there and it was closed. It was Sunday, And my father knew it was closed, he knew it. Even though I loved my dad, I never really trusted him after that.

considering the amount of data to relay is pretty minimal

and the speed with which people are interested in attaining that info, it seems pretty perfect

Positive:

More hits for us today (8) than in the previous 2 games (7 each). We are developing a trend that is a juggernaut.
