ANAHEIM, Calif. - White Sox left fielder Carlos Quentin left Monday night's game in the top of the first inning after hurting his foot while running out an RBI double.
Quentin, who is coping with plantar fasciitis in his left foot, limped halfway to first base and barely reached second. He was assisted off the field by trainer Herm Schneider and assistant trainer Brian Ball.
Brian Anderson pinch-ran for Quentin, whose hit put the Sox ahead 3-0 over the Los Angeles Angels.
It's just plantar fasciitis, though - should be no problem. Clearly just needs to stretch his calf. Definitely can play with it.
Larry accidentally made this a FanPost, which doesn't allow the use of our images... so I copied and pasted it into this one, and added the injured Q! picture
UPDATE: Steve Stone relays info straight from the GM, who calls Quentin day-to-day and said the injury is not nearly as bad as it looked.
