" You know...
I think this technique of using the ninth inning of close ballgames as extended spring training for pitchers who’ve missed time due to injury might not be a great idea."

cst_sox: Now being told that Quentin will not rejoin the team in KC, but should be ready by Monday.

The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.
He needs time
The sooner the sox admit it the better… it sucks but at least some of the other sluggers are hitting well unlike last year
"...and when it comes to baseball, we have two favorite clubs: the Go-Go White Sox...and whoever plays the Cubs!!!"
It's about time the team docs read this site.
I know larry was about to go Medieval. I was going to go Paleolithic.

The way they're fucking around, they may as well DL him.
They know what’s wrong already. More tests? Then just fucking DL him and bring someone up. Either play him or DL him. This is bullshit.
Oh shit
Just realized this game is on the U. Looks like its Farmio and DJ for me unless I can find a feed.
Computer nerds only: I’m going to try to get TVants running via Darwine

That's the risk colin was willing to take to properly show you his appreciation.
I tried to remind him to wash his hands before and after….

What's the over/under on hard-hit smashes off Bart's 88 mph fastball tonight?
You know…the only pitch he throws which predictably moves about 5 inches to the right in a perfectly horizontal line every time?
Manager Ozzie Guillen said the Sox are willing to put Quentin on the 15-day disabled list if it can ensure his health for the duration of the season.

so they may lose him for some games now in exchange for more games later?

Lets just hope that they can figure out this stuff now
rather than have Q out for a month at the end of the season. Brings back some memories.
Unless they've had their heads lodged up their asses the last couple of weeks, nothing has changed.
This condition ain’t goin’ away quick. The tests have been or should have been exhausted by now. Fuck. Let him rest for three months and bring him back in September….that will do us a lot of good.
If that "pop" was a tear
he ain’t comin’ back soon. I hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Start working the phones, KW.
PS This is why JD goes nowhere for awhile – or at least until July.

He isn't walking around the clubhouse like he was if it was a tear.
I think it’s a symptom of the plantar.
In the case it was....
I go to larry’s camp and punt this season….I look to trade guys like Dye, Thome…etc.etc. You’re dreaming if you think we can win over 75 games with this club without a healthy Quentin….hell, we may not with him.
given his medical history at this point
how likely is it that Q! is functionally 1B/DH next season and beyond?

Still a kid.
And he has that 27 year old peak left in him, right?

injury begets more injury
is the general rule, right? it seems he’s prone to weird stuff, so maybe there isn’t any way to protect him.

White Sox won't rush Quentin back: Decision will come Monday whether a DL stint is needed
Carlos Quentin is the type of player who never wants to leave the lineup, doing whatever he possibly can to keep himself in play.
Over the past couple of weeks, that particular desire pushed the White Sox All-Star left fielder to play through pain in his left foot. But the team now has come to a point where a trip to the disabled list might be the best solution involved for the intensely driven Quentin.
“If we need to put him on the disabled list, we will do it,” said White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen prior to Tuesday’s game at Angel Stadium. "We will need him in the stretch, but we have to wait to see what happens.
“He might try to play through soreness or pain just to be on the field. That don’t work because the more pain you have, the more days you are going to lose.” …
The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.
