you just chose that photo for the ass shot of getz.
your ilk is taking over everything the straight american male holds dear.

That photo epitomizes grinder baseball
Getz drew a leadoff walk, stole a base, reached third on throwing error.
Next three batters failed to bring him in.
It’s Grind-tastic. All we need is Darin Erstad to strike out while looking stubble-y and squinty, and you’ve got grinder perfection.
Yet we won.
Go figure.

it's a play on the most interesting man in the world's ditty at the end about drinking dos equis

Jesus, Keith.
All the marketing $ targeted at young, sotted males and you don’t know that? It’d be like a runner not knowing the Gatorade “G” + lightning bolt in a cartoon or something.

Batting over .350 since Papa Jose left almost 20 games ago
confirmed
Ozzie Guillen confirmed what pitching coach Don Cooper said earlier this week: Jose Contreras will pitch in the June 8 doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers.
‘’Then we are going to make the decision what we want to do with him,’’ Guillen said. ‘’The doubleheader, we are pretty sure it’s going to be him, but the problem is after the doubleheader, what are we going to do?’’
If Contreras pitches well, one scenario could be moving him to the bullpen and having him on call for the next starter to stumble.
Contreras, who stunned observers with his quick return after rupturing his Achilles tendon last season, is 2-1 with a 3.04 ERA at Charlotte since he was sent down this month after going 0-5 with an 8.19 ERA in six starts for the Sox.

The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.
kenny's after bedard says Joe Cool
Somewhere out there, Ken Williams is lurking. His manager knows it and his players know it, but when and where will the general manager strike on another deal?
He acquired reserve catcher Ramon Castro on Friday, already tried to land San Diego ace Jake Peavy last week, and is rumored to be smack dab on the trail of the likes of an Erik Bedard or Roy Oswalt.

...that's a bad idea
not only is going to leave after the season but he’s likely to get injured somewhere down the stretch. I don’t want to give up a lot for that.

I find it hard to believe we're in 2nd
But I think I’ll take it… for now.
I don't. You have seen the division recently, haven't you?
It would probably be more impressive to be above .500 than second in the AL Central right now.

one day I'm gonna do a recap.
just not today or tomorrow.
member of a "solid community of fans" and "a meathead."
2 things
Good to see alexei get 3 hits without hitting the ball out of the infield and who is gonna be hawks pick to click every sixth day now that the corkeroo is in the minors?
have you seen the catchers currently at charlotte?
the sox will probably ask corky what he wants to do but, if he is fine going to charlotte (and if the injury-prone castro was in front of me, i’d certainly like my chances of being back in the majors), the sox should consider making room.

So are these Bedard/Oswalt deals dead
considering KW’s under the radar approach?
"...but the devil lives inside this kid, I swear it. It rises out of him in a mist, this baby-faced defiant wrathful version of Pat Kane, escapes his bodily confines to perform satanic miracles all over the offensive zone. The only thing more fearsome than that assist was the keep-in preceding it. The only thing more unholy than his face is his black magic." GMH

I think I'm okay with that
I like KW’s aggressiveness in seeking out another frontline pitcher considering the uncertainty surrounding Richard/Colon/Contreras – especially if teams are looking to unload payroll more than seek out a huge bounty and the deal isn’t much more than Richard/Poreda… on the flip side, these guys are owed either tons of money or can walk away after this season

I doubt it
I don’t think he has actually personally talked about the matter. I think we will have a new pitcher soon.

I still can't believe that 1.) we came from behind in late innings, 2.) lost that lead and then still won in the 9th. Something is just not right here.
Still waiting to maniacally wave a broom around……..
Not getting up hopes that it will be at the hands of ZG, but he is certainly due for a bad outing…………why not! Eternal optimist!!!
GO SOX!
(Also, gotta love seeing Jenks’ curve for the first time of the inning, on the last pitch, perfectly right in there….woulda fooled me too, hehehe!)
the "got your nose" trick still fools you

I'd still like to see them lose a lead (then be down) and then take it back in the late innings.
Being down 4 used to not worry me at all with the Sox. Now if we’re down .25 late we seem to lose all the wind in our sail.

I was going with the "thinking realistically" approach.
I think it was clear I was talking about wanting to see the comeback after blowing the lead over wanting them to blow the lead.

I have to begrudgingly say....
KenWo’s favorite targets over the last bunch of years Scott Podsednik and Paul Konerko are playing well this year. Thankfully Rob Mackowiak is still unemployed :)
