The White Sox are actually slightly up (1.7%) in attendance over 2008.

I wonder if this has anything to do with KW seemingly getting the green light from JR to add salary in terms of a front line starter -- perhaps the effects of the economic downturn haven't hit the White Sox as bad as anticipated.

Perhaps this is why

Kenny’s been given the go-ahead to add payroll like a Peavy or Oswalt.

Cutting salary in the off-season was probably a precautionary measure, given the economy, assuming that attendance would go down.

Well, apparently, it hasn’t, finally giving Kenny his full dollar to work with.

full dollar?

hey, let’s not go crazy!

The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.

from our conversation with brooks boyer a couple weeks back,

ticket sales were about on pace to last year but corporate sales (i.e., suites) were down a lot. and the jim beam club was getting hammered.

I hit up the jim beam club once last season

Just to see what the fuss was about, and have to say I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Is it still the fourth inning?
