I'm glad I've altogether blocked out anything mainstream, sports-related media
Are people seriously calling for Walker’s canning? Cripes… I’m not particularly attached to him but wtf is he supposed to do with a lineup that has featured anywhere from three-to-five AAAA or replacement level hitters the past couple days?

We hes always sucked at his job, this year he just has an excuse.
It's like he's a cyborg sent from the future to draw 22 walks a season or something.

that would be a shitty thing to do
it was god’s destiny for these players to suck. get different players.

If you're going to blame someone, blame KW
He constructed this roster, and with as many old guys as we got, it was certain we were going to have stretches of this season where we are putting out as many replacement level players as we have. Or maybe we should blame JR for reducing the operating budget? Or maybe we should blame wall street/obama/bush/fannie mae/our own greed/“insert your favorite scapegoat here” for crashing the economy?
It’s a sticky wicket, and hey, at least we have some real prospects on the farm.
If the team gets healthy and stays that way, they still got a chance at the division and an early exit from the playoffs. And I’m ok with that.
How ’bout them Hawks…

Yes, this was to be only a transition year.
We are 1 below .500. Not time to panic. Next year looks promising. Old guys have to keep coming through and quickly hand the baton to the young ones. Che, JD, Q have to step up. That is all.
We’re a pack of a-holes.

i don't see anyone making a big difference in terms of W/L
next year. beckham i would assume will be on the team. thome and dye gone. hope JR opens the purse strings in FA.

T-Flo?
And they have to shake a 5th starter (Count presently 0-4) out of the Richard/Poreda/etc. guys. Getz with another year, Allen backing up Thome/PK. Who knows?
One thing I will bet my right nut on is JR will NOT be opening up pursestrings during a nascent economic recovery.
We’re a pack of a-holes.

With SSH gone, who will make the obscenely early 2010 projected lineups??

Cheat has been filling in nicely so far... Maybe that's what he's been working on in his blackout period.
I like to spell my racial slurs correctly. Otherwise, I may come across as ignorant.

"Blackout" by the Scorpions
is what I think of re: Cheat and his backout period. Greatly visceral song.
