Salaries and this years team!
This season is a rebuilding one so to say. The White Sox have no fine medium between veterans and the younger players. We have 5 players that are eating a big chunk of the salary and I expect them all to be gone by seasons end or the trading deadline. I feel as a White Sox fan that this suffering of poor play is almost necessary to get a serious contending baseball team. I love Kenny and Ozzie working this team, but I think they need to let the youth get their bumps this season, and maybe get one or two veterans in the offseason. Thome, Konerko, Dye and Contrearas are all at the end of their deals, leaving $46.5 million dollars off of the payroll. Buehrle is under contract and may be dealt. I think the Sox need to keep Poreda up. I also feel they need to fix thier CF situation, whether its a FA or a draft pick. Carlos Quentin will be back soon and some of these FA's need to go.

you don’t deal your best pitcher if you’re trying to build a contender
