You can't have a lineup that has

Wise
Nix
Pods
Betemit

and expect really good results. I say this knowing that Pods .330 OBP has actually be tolerable given the alternatives. But I’m lumping him in there because I think it’s unsustainable. And also his outs on the basepaths piss me off.

If the Sox could replace 2 of those black holes with league averageish performance the offense might actually be OK. I’m voting Wise and Betemit sit. Maybe even on another team’s bench.
