Can Bradley play short center?

I was gonna write something, but have better things to do than sit at home on a Friday night rehashing some shitty Crosstown Softball Spectacle.

Only one question: "Even the Prepositions"

What did that mean? Did the Indians screw up the translation?
Ok, 2 questions.
Happy Friday!

Pronunciation: ho'kiz'um
Function: noun
1. A catch phrase commonly used by White Sox announcer Ken Harrelson.
2. Standard parlance of an incompetent hillbilly; staple of stylized speech patterns associated with South Carolinian trailer communities; used to "describe" an event (or even a sequence of events) without uttering more than 8 or 9 syllables; in essence, a substitute for original thought.

really?

i pride myself on being one of the first people to complain about crap umpiring. i didn’t think miller was that bad. off the top of my head i only remember the strike 3 call on beckham and the last pitch to getz as being bad.

Just saw it on the re-broadcast

didn’t look that bad to me – looks like it came across the edge then broke outside.

umm, that would be incorrect.

and the 2nd strike to Getz was a joke as well. I only saw that one inning, so I have no idea if that was being called all game, but those pitches were well outside, not close.

According to Rongey in the postgame show

They were calling pitches like that all game long for both sides. Yeah its a bad time to get those calls at the very end of the game, but apparently the umpiring was consistent.

Lou got into it with Miton Bradley? Shades of 1977

Consider this a plug for the excellent book turned so-so miniseries “The Bronx is Burning.”

OK....I actually think this Norris Hopper could be a really solid

“under the radar” acquisition. Obviously Corky Miller is useless…….I don’t know a ton about Hopper but his combined 2006-2007 numbers were impressive….high OBP…and he can run a little. I don’t know anything about his defense……struggled a bit this year in the minors and apparently has some character issues….but when all you are giving up is Corky Miller—-why not?

ok so i usually am sickened when we lose to the cubs

but this actually wasn’t a bad game. Contreras looked good for the most part… offense did some damage…. coulda won it…. didn’t…. eh get em tomorrow. I’m not sick over this like the Linebrink game.

Myself and Wiz

have been the 2 biggest Brian Anderson supporters here, I think. Not sure if Wiz bailed yet, but I am off the Brian Anderson bandwagon. I looooooooove having his glove in CF. But he is fucking miserable at the plate. Brutal. Not close to a clue. This team cannot afford him as 1/9 of the offense.

I still want Brian at CF when the other options are Pods, Wise, Owens

I don’t think any of those will net add and prevent more runs

I’d be OK with Swisher playing CF but Kenny preferred Goggles and Jeff F. Marquez…

if we get a better CF option we’ll see

iconic image of american inefficiency

having a dozen or so people stick a recording device in someone’s face to collect sound bites so they can all call it a ‘scoop’ or ‘reporting’ is beyond ridiculous. oh, yeah, i’m sorry — it creates jobs.

and people wonder why we’re on the decline.
