Potential target to buy for 2008 and beyond???
If Alex Rios really is available for a bag of balls, would you consider going after him? He is signed through 2014 on a 64 million dollar contract that he signed in 2008. He is hitting .263 with 9 homers, 37 RBI, 13 SBs, OPS .744. I think this is a guy KW must consider.

from 2007 to 2009
trending downward in ops, slg, obp…and unlike Q will be leaving his prime. even past his prime, he won’t approach the numbers that dye has contributed with the sox thus far.
question, considering the dye’s contributions with the sox have both of his contracts (contract + 2 year extension) been a bargain or at least reasonable for the sox??

He would not even be Dye's
current age at the end of that contract, so not a good comparison. Furthermore, Dye’s value is all at the plate, while much of Rios’ value is in the field. I would say that Rios’ value has exceeded Dye’s the past 3 years when you account for defense, declining OPS or not, he is quite valuable. And I think he would continue to be for most of that contract.

I'm pretty sure Q will be injury ridden his entire career
he has been since college
Kenwo4life=ratings
i also have my doubts on Q having healthy seasons in succession
but at this time i’m still inclined to think he provides more bang for the buck than rios
