A Sports Illustrated poll of 380 players found Piniella, Guillen, La Russa, Torre, and Wedge the least desirable managers to play for.

I would assume ozzie envokes strong feelings either way — they should also say, “which manager would you most want to play for”?
They did that too.
Strangely, Joe Torre made the top 5 of both lists so the moral seems to be player polls don’t say much (unless they involve A.J.).
