I watched "Sordid Lives" last night
and there was a great line “get off your cross, we need the wood” that I had never heard before (but I believe is in a country music song). Some dude was blubbering at the bar and the guy next to him unleashed that bit of wisdom. Interesting movie if you’re looking for something to watch.

I want to rec this...but I think doing that to a comment with a rape analogy probably would be wrong
But the point that a lineup where 4 or 5 of the guys in it are simply bad at hitting is bad. Very bad.
This lineup is easily the worst in the AL Central. It’s possible that IF Q comes back and isn’t terible and if Beckham replaces Fields and can hit a little that they could get to average. But those are big ifs. And the season is moving along.

On to a different rant aimed at the local newsmedia. Ozzie was correct in saying that Beckham wasn’t going to be called up unless the team is in trouble. The offense / 3B situation has been trouble, thus the call up.
