Hope to god that Beckham can get it done at 3b so we can trade Fields for a Center Fielder that can actually hit the ball.

Sorry, but Kobe will not let that happen
Too much is made of it being Kobe sans Shaq. Gasol is an all-star caliber player and Odom is very good too. Even their bench is very talented. I can’t see this going more than 6, if not 5 for LA.

Guillen hopes Carlos Quentin (plantar fasciitis) will be able to come off the disabled list on June 10 as scheduled.

seems ozzie is not thrilled
“A couple (days) ago, I said if this kid comes here we are going to be in trouble,” Guillen said. "Well, because he was playing shortstop, and I don’t think he can play everyday shortstop here.
“He got moved to Triple-A and played third base and everybody liked the way he played. But is he going to play everyday third base here? I don’t know – I don’t think.”
Guillen said Beckham is going to play some third base, some shortstop and some second base.
