Williams is a 33 year old lefty who has 31 innings of major league experience and hasn't pitched in the majors since 2005. For Charlotte this year: 36.2 IP, 31 hits, 11 BB, 40 K. He performs better against lefties, especially with respect to his walk rate. And, in news you already knew, Josh Fields was optioned to Charlotte and Mark Kotsay takes his active roster spot. The 40 man roster now stands at the full complement of 40.
