Ryan Freel DFA, Any uses?
The link is to the MLBTrade rumors post of cubs trading for Jeff Baker. The Cubs also designated super-sub Ryan Freel for assignment, does anyone think we can find a use for him?

Freel hasn’t been worth much for 3 years. The team already has Nix.

I suppose
But wouldn’t it be great to stick it to the cubs?

No
How would taking their scraps stick it to the Cubs, and why do we care about sticking it to the Cubs? Freel’s garbage and he’s massively unlikable.
