not as bad as previous years
but still, i dont think fans should be voting on such things.

I think its bad when he's only got 35 games played
Plenty of other better outfielders out there.
Is it still the fourth inning?
No Thorndogg? Blah.

So isn't buehrle going to pitch the last game before the all-star break now?
So basically we won’t see any Sox players play.
Well at least I don’t have to watch the all-star game this year.
Is it still the fourth inning?
Crede and Quentin combined for 0-5 in last year's.
I don’t think we got to see any Sox players play then, either.

Yeah but they're doing something weird so buehrle can pitch twice before all star break... pitching clayton on 3 days rest i think

Pitching a starter with two days rest sure would be weird.

amazingly,
there’s this website. maintained by the white sox. says who is likely to pitch on a given day. wonderful tool.

Anyone seen Public Enemies (i.e,.hostem publicum) yet? Saw it yesterday, thoroughly enjoyed it – but I’m biased, I love anything by Michael Mann. It was great seeing him filming in Chicago again, I don’t think he’s done that since Thief.
Coach says he needs more toughness. I gotta step up.
Saw it yesterday as well. Excellent.
Ed Farmer: "Is it raining in here?"
Steve Stone: "I've made an egregious mistake."
It grows on you, doesn't it?
Not one of those where you walk out and immediately forget it.

Well, I'm also biased in favor of Michael Mann. Depp and Bale, too. It was a lock that I'd enjoy this one.
Ed Farmer: "Is it raining in here?"
Steve Stone: "I've made an egregious mistake."
Only person who could mess up a Michael Mann movie
is Colin Farrell.
Coach says he needs more toughness. I gotta step up.
I... hesitate to admit... I liked that one.
It’s stylish.
Ed Farmer: "Is it raining in here?"
Steve Stone: "I've made an egregious mistake."
having seen collateral a few times now
i’m pretty interested. i thought collateral would be shite, but the cinematography was outstanding and the plot itself was pretty fun. PE seems to have much the same potential. not to mention the NYT review was fawning.

Ozzie started resting his "stars"
We win 7 in a row and Oz sends the message, we can relax now boys.
Sox win, cubs lose.....what a wonderful world!
i'm guessing you're one of those who doesn't actually check the lineups regularly, huh.

Damn we suck if we can't fucking win a series against KC. WTF!
MIN has been helping us with the Tigers and we can’t even take advantage of that. Time to blow this shit up. Sell sell sell.
That is awesome
I had to look it up to see if it’s real. It’s in Japan.

let me introduce you to something.
it’s called “evidence.” i recommend basing your opinions on them.
http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.cgi?n1=ramiral03&year=Career&t=b
White Sox Minor League Updates: http://twitter.com/SouthSidelarry
i'm guessing you're unfamiliar with the definition of evidence.
White Sox Minor League Updates: http://twitter.com/SouthSidelarry
I'm just saying that stats are not evidence, they are data points. The n is not large enough
to prove a correlation anyways.
of course it's evidence.
that’s silly. whether you think it’s enough to be persuasive does not bear on whether it’s evidence. perhaps you’d like to provide some countervailing evidence instead of arguing with an attorney about the definition of evidence.
White Sox Minor League Updates: http://twitter.com/SouthSidelarry
I think that's the furthest I've ever seen JD hit one
Coach says he needs more toughness. I gotta step up.
Even though he's the best baserunner on the team
that was a horrible AB by AJ, WTF is he thinking there.
Coach says he needs more toughness. I gotta step up.
I know its a longshot that we score 3 off of soria
but did Ozzie really need to throw Gobble out there?
Is it still the fourth inning?
Hey guys can I get a VHS copy of this game
just the Gobble inning would be fine. thanks

ok, just the way he was turning his back foot made it look like that with crap mlb.tv compression
Is it still the fourth inning?
Nope.
I’m not sure if its available out here, and even if it is, I’m kickin’ it with basic cable right now because I’d rather spend my money on expensive gin.
Is it still the fourth inning?
you shouldn't swing at the first pitch. i have evidence.
White Sox Minor League Updates: http://twitter.com/SouthSidelarry
This team could sure use some depth on the bench
Anytime we take 1 or 2 regulars out we’re just not the same.
Sure Q! coming back will help but you can’t exactly count on him staying healthy.
I suppose some bench depth is something KW could pick up cheap before the deadline.
Is it still the fourth inning?
Public Enemies - C+
I owe my career to MM, so i hate being critical. Disjointed narrative, no emotional pull, too many undeveloped characters, the digital worked against him (too many CU’s of Depp’s bad skin), godawful female characters (MM can’t write women)… Incredible details, but that’s what he’s into -Jungian archetypes - the right fedora, the right handgun etc. — but the story was undercooked. I’ve heard the same dialog in his last three movies. he hasn’t vome closeto replicating The Insider or Thief in a long, long time.
at least in Collateral, the actors carried the script
and that plus cinematography made for a good movie.
THIS STORY ONLY ENDS ONE WAY
C+?
Sounds a little harsh. Not his finest work, but for me anything he does is more interesting than 99% of what’s out there.
The characters were pretty flat and one-dimensional, but I think that was deliberate. They were all basically tunnel visioned ultra-nihilistic crime machines. If you step back and look at what these guys were doing, it was just nuts.
Coach says he needs more toughness. I gotta step up.
