I think it’s safe to say you get your wish if this team continues to play well. I wouldn’t be all that worried. Not to mention match him up agianst most teams number 5’s and it should make you feel a bit better. He sucks, yes, but most teams have to trot out a guy every 5 days if not more often that is just as bad.

I gotta say this shouldn’t be a big surprise. He’s been struggling lately, and now we put him on short rest (even if he did only pitch 3 innings last time out), so I don’t think we really put him in a position to succeed. I’d rather he get shelled by the Indians then the Twins though so I can’t disagree with the move and like Wu says, he’s our 5th starter, he’s not an ace.
