Jake Peavy to Begin Rehab Tonight
There are very few times when a Cy Young winner will pitch at Knights Stadium.
Thursday, however, Charlotte will be treated to 2007 Cy Young winner Jake Peavy making a rehab start against Pawtucket in Fort Mill.
Game time is 7:15 p.m. and a few good seats remain although they're going quick.

there are 19,999 Miller light beer vendor bobble heads
Im sad to report that my beer vendor bobble head has suffered a terrible fall and has been decapitated. The remaining beer vendor bobble heads just became slightly more valuable.
Castro ran into the dugout and told pitcher Jose Contreras, "He hasn't missed a spot all day. I think hes going to do it." Contreras replied, "Shut the fuck up."

seriously, it kills me that you can have sequels of a movie called
“Final Destination”.
where “it” is the mysterious hand of a vengeful God.

Ya know
I really dislike BA (like dewayne wise) , but he (like dewayne wise) has one very memorable moment in my memory which has earned him a place in my heart.
When Michael Barrett sucker punched A.J. it was brian who came flying off the bench handing out at least 4 up to 6 haymakers on the cubbies… he got suspended along with barrett

Didn't he break Mabry's ribs?
Or put him in the hospital. Pods gained a lot of respect in that fight for me too.. taking on a catcher at his size, I didn’t see it coming from Pods.

Something like that

White Sox’s Brian Anderson and the Cubs’ John Mabry who got into another fight moments later. Mabry was taken to a hospital to have sore ribs X-rayed.
Anderson was near the plate after hitting the bases-loaded sacrifice fly that scored Pierzynski.
"I really can’t explain my actions. I was getting caught up trying to stick up for my teammate," Anderson said.
The White Sox’s Scott Podsednik, who was in the on-deck circle, wrestled Barrett to the ground but was not ejected.
"I was right there," said Podsednik, who declined further comment.

My goal is to find the one website that is streaming this game.
If they televised Manny Ramirez’s game, they are televising this.

Thursday is an off-day for the White Sox, but their fans have something to watch at night.
Jake Peavy is taking the mound.
The right-hander is scheduled to make his first rehab start for the Triple-A Charlotte Knights in Fort Mill, S.C. — his first outing since his last start, on June 8 for the Padres. Peavy will face Pawtucket in this much-anticipated first step toward the White Sox rotation and an expected key role in a pennant race. Fans can follow Peavy’s start live with Gameday. Peavy’s first pitch is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. ET.

No BA in the lineup for Pawtucket – Peavey struck out the side in the first.

Was the 3 IP on schedule?
Anybody know? I didn’t hear anything ahead of time about how long they wanted him out there.

They were going 3 innings or pitch limit of 55 or so
he threw 46…
Next time out will probably be 5 innings aiming for 75 but with a limit of something like 80 pitches. Then they’ll judge based on his side session and the results (I suppose) about whether they want to give him a 3rd, where he won’t really be on a limit. They’ll be looking for 7 IP and 90+ pitches.
I haven’t seen anything yet, but if he’s sharp in outing #2 they might just throw him out there for outing #3 in the bigs against the O’s (I think).
