DeWayne Wise's Catch "Greatest in Baseball History"?
For four years, Wise’s 12 ¾-inch black Rawlings glove, model PRO 302-4JB, was merely another piece of equipment. Now it lives forever in Cooperstown, N.Y., at the Baseball Hall of Fame.
For more than a decade, Wise has been a baseball nomad, roaming the minors and majors with a .210 career batting average. Now he has an identity. He made the catch that might be the greatest in baseball history.

good for him.
as a collector of memorabilia (again mostly white sox) I would love to get him to sign the picture of him at the wall….. it can go right next to my picture of Uribe in the world series jumping into the crowd.

I wonder if they will be velvet?
About that steak dinner? Buehrle said he has something better planned. He asked David Wells, who pitched a perfect game for the Yankees in 1998, what he should get for his teammates. Wells commissioned a ring for everyone, but that did not feel right to Buehrle.
Buehrle is ordering special wine bottles for all of the White Sox, but Wise and the catcher, Ramon Castro, will get something extra. Both will receive an original painting of their roles in the game, a work of art to commemorate the masterpiece Wise made possible.

Reminds me of a hilarious Seinfeld scene
Waiter: Anything to drink? Some wine, perhaps.
Mickey: I like Merlot.
Karen: I love Merlot.
Julie: I’m crazy about Merlot.
Kramer: I live for Merlot.
Waiter: We’re out of Merlot.
Nick Swisher can blow Bobby Jenks's saves.

If you read the article in the paper's version
you’d see a picture of The Catch, in addition to Swoboda’s in the ‘69 Series, Amoros’ in the ‘55 Series, and a few more. Yes, Dweezie’s Catch is being compared to all those.

Ya know, when Carlton Fisk was patrolling leftfield
ANY catch he made was considered a miracle.
"I do think that there's a different quality to what used to be Cominskey Field vs. Wrigley," President Obama told Bob Costas during an interview that aired during Tuesday night's MLB All-Star Game.
wasnt Hawk the genius who put him there?
i'll delete your SSS existence in a second. there is nothing that allows SSS posters, at any one moment, to keep posting, but the mere pleasure of larry.
