the series against the 0’s is, in my view, the most important of the year. it will either be used as a spring board to the games with boston and new york, or a cliff to the same.
though the actual data may not corroborate with my observations; empirically speaking, it seems that the sox play more competitively against better teams. note- i did not say win, i said play more competitively.

My path to success required them going 10-5
in the past string of games starting with Cleveland and ending with this series with Baltimore. So far they’re 6-6, even with a sweep this weekend they’re lagging. Even with a sweep they’ll have to go 8-7 in this next tough 15game stretch to make up lost ground.
