A Trade I Would Like to see......

I would really like to see Prince Fielder on Our Whitesox. This trade would go like this; Jenks and Konerko for Fielder and maybe a Brewer minor leaguer. The trade would be difficult since Fielder is represented by Scott Boras. If the trade was made it would help the Thome loss of a lefthanded slugger and would replace Konerko at first base. On another note it wouldn't help Dayan Viciedo to make it to the big club; since he might be looked at for first base. Even with the trade though Viciedo could still turn out to be a left fielder. Financially the trade  would lower some cost because Konerko is due 12 million next season and Jenks will most likely get more than 6 million. Mr Prince Fielder is due 10.5 million with an incentives that could bump it up $250,000;still that is less than what could be at minimum 18 million

The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.

paulie for figgins ain't going to happen

figgins is a freeagent next season and konerko plays 1st base and they have kendry morales. konerko might be a dh but they could get vlad back for cheaper than konerko

Morales is a 3baseman playing first

On that fly to right-center
I kinda expected JD to plow into Rios with an ATV.

Prince Fielder is not real happy with what the brewers are doing so.......

Konerko would go there to finish his career. Prince didnt like the brewers 2 year offer and felt disrespected by only a 2year deal. The answer is the brewers would probably take Konerko than a guy that does not want to be there.

Not so fast my friend!

Who’s the minor leaguer we’re gettin?

by mick10 on Sep 12, 2009 6:59 PM CDT reply actions

the minor leaguer in return would be a throw in.

technically the trade is for fielder but since we would be giving 2 they could throw in relief pitcher or something not great but decent

by snattle on Sep 12, 2009 7:16 PM CDT reply actions

konerko also has been quoted on saying if the sox as him to waive his no trade he would

i believe he said if it would be better for the club to trade him since they have done right by him all these years he would do it to be a standup guy

not the dumbest thing ive read over here on the right rail

but super dumb nonetheless

But if you self-loathing- sad-bastard-fuckhammers see that as "appropriate", well, then… I suggest you go fuck yourself while nick swisher looks on, completely unfucked. - SkanchoDanza

Can we see your list of the dumbest?

I wanna see where this ranks, and what is dumber than it.

Trades don’t just work based on where you think people would be happy, snattle. There are so many line-up and contractual issues, as well as how the teams are built…it’s just…wow.

Just on the surface, let’s review:
30 HR power on the wrong side of 30 with 3 years left @ 12m a year.
Multi-million $ closer who wouldn’t close on their team.

for

50 HR power on the right side of 30.

Pro-tip: Milwaukee’s GM doesn’t want to get fired.

So tell…this happens why?

No thanks.

I like the big one and the captain too much for someone whose swing angle is twice as harsh as Frank’s.

"wordy and overly verbose."

Obviously your trade is coming from the financial aspect,

but I don’t think the Brewers would want Paulie for 1 year while giving up a possible perennial all-star.

How about Jenks, Viciedo, Josh Fields, and Carlos Torres for Fielder? We can put Fielder at DH playing 1B occasionally. I think the salary we’d be assuming next year is +3 to 4 mil in that trade, but it would be worth it.

Yovani Gallardo, Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder and Mat Gamel

to get fielder it would be something like jordan danks, tyler flowers, and another good prospect.

no way fielder ends up on the southside.

I would not mind seeing Che moved for a top OF or 3B talent and move beckham to SS. I’ve never been big on alexei and would love to get a young legit power hitter in our lineup.

I know this is ridiculous speculation but che would bring in quite the bounty given his age, contract, position, and ability.

Oh and trade jenks too, please get rid of him. the ‘closer’ role is vastly overrated and dotel pitching the ninth for the sox this past season would have proved more likely than not just as successful
