Miguel Olivo is Irish, The White Sox Are Lifeless
We can't even joke about the White Sox playoff hopes anymore. Ozzie has begun filling out lineup cards featuring a bench (instead of an outfield) of Jermaine Dye, Alex Rios and Carlos Quentin. Hawk spent the evening acting as if this game meant the Sox season. To which the Sox responded with a 3-hit barrage, including 1 that left the infield, extending their scoreless inning streak to 18.
The season is officially over; Luke Hochevar serving as coroner, Miguel Olivo as undertaker.
Next year starts tomorrow. Jake Peavy arrived just in time.

Now that the season is over..
anyone here know if Hudson is a legitimate option to start over Floyd/Buehrle from here on out? I don’t really know how they feel about innings total or whatever

I say shut Floyd down
Dont risk further injury. Throw out your Torreses and Hudsons and see what sticks. We definitely got bullpen issues- outside of Thorndog I dont trust anyone
read better.

If this is a wake, let's have some fun:
You’re stuck in traffic and need a lift. Maybe some music.
How about popping in this easy listening: One For My Baby (And One More For the Road) sung by …Tim McCarver?
Fox’s lead baseball analyst has just released a CD of his stylings of tunes —I’ll Remember April and On a Clear Day— billed as coming from “the great American songbook.”
Bill Shatner and Leonard Nimoy should be nervous.

The White Sox are all defeated and have barely any runs at all
since we acquired a girl writer.
not sayin’
just sayin’
watched first 3 episodes of the wire tonight season 1.
pretty good.
how did the police car get burned though? those cops ran away? and then they just leave the burnt car there afterwards? no fucking way. If they left that car, they atleast would have had that shit towed out of there.

can't remember exactly what you are talking about...
maybe it was during the scene following the detectives rolling up to the PJs and talking shit?, but anyways you will forget about a burned cop car. I started watching season 1 episode 1 and am still catching shit I missed on rewatches…

I own an evening with KS part 2 and 3.
But part one was the best. Tonights show was one par with 2 and 3. Just a great show. 3 hours of win, as opposed to the sox.

Yeah, those guys were pretty funny
The crowd behind them kept getting bigger every time they were on the videoboard. I enjoyed the singing of the “Three Men in Kilts,” too.
That ball hit deep! Way back! You can put it on the boooaaaard...YES!
Long drive into deep right center field! This ball is OUTTA HEEERRRREE!

Yep - pretty sad when that is out best entertainment of the game though
Surprisingly the game seemed to move along fairly quickly… It wasn’t being dragged down with the Sox offense

Grinder poem
Would Rios run head first into a wall?
Or run his bat head first into a ball?
Is Wise too small?
Is Rios too tall?
Is Guillen too firey?
Is there going to be a new hitting coach hiring?
Is Figgins the answer?
Is Dye a clubhouse cancer?
Will Abreu drive in Rbis?
Before Triples goes to die?
I guess we’ll find out
after the summer of 09’

In cased you missed Ichiro last night vs the Yankees

I enjoyed him telling his teammates to “Suck it” as he is about to cross the plate. I have to say, the list of players who could make me laugh after beating my two favorite teams on back to back nights with walkoff hits is pretty small
