Wow... good question.
Because the ghosts of 2005 still posess my soul. Because I am a fan and still watch them play, like an addict jonesing for his next fix, knowing that the sterno cooked cough syrup wont do the trick, but still try to find something that will fill the void in my empty black soul. Because this team is dripping with potential, and yet cursed with ineptitude. Because until they are mathmatically eliminated, I have the spirit-crushing dream of making the playoffs, despite how utterly ridiculous it is. Not in a doomed-cub-fan-wait-till-next-year hope, but a god-damn-it-why-cant-they-do-better-now hope… Because I still draw breath, and will be a sox fan for as long as I do.

Wow - this was as interesting as the game
Not even a good fight among you all – though I thought the rally butterfly was good. I certainly picked 2 good games to see this weekend – Friday and today. Not to mention my son probably got his arm broke on a fastball yesterday. I’ve really had a bad weekend of baseball.
