man I read that shit yesterday at BCB and was so thankful I found this place. part of me was thinking... "this is what I could have become"...

but thanks to all you assholes (heartfelt and meant in a good way) I have actually learned something about baseball and am not a tool.

I still have alot to learn but I prefer to take it slowly, not blowing my load all at once.

I’m a Cubs fan, but can’t stand 90% of my meathead brethren. This site is much, much more entertaining and objective (though the sabermetician shit drives me nuts. I digress…). Some of those rose-colered-glasses, “wait ’til next year” types over at BCB drive me nuts. Every other post is, “Way to go Reed!,” followed by 20 “RIOT!!!”s and “Go get’em Z!!!”s. Drives me nuts. Like everyone wants to one-up each other to prove who’s the #1 Cubs cheerleader. And God forbid you criticize another poster or use a swear word! You get scolded like a friggin’ kindergartner.

I follow both teams, and have gone on record here that I actually like Sox players, (parts of) management and the coaching staff more than on the North side.
