PrintWhat a night it was for Jake Peavy tonight. Final stat line 7 IP, 0ER, 8 K's, 6 hits (3 infield hits) and just 2 walks on 95 pitches. I asked for a dominant outing, and a dominant outing I was given.
If this doesn't get you excited for next year I'm not sure what will. Peavy was outstanding today in every facet of his game. 2 seam fastball was moving all over the place, offspeed stuff was on point, location solid, overall just an awesome outing.
This 100% alleviates the issue of Peavy not being able to pitch in the American League. He increased his record to 10-8 with an ERA just north of 3 in his career in the AL. You have an ERA around 3 in the Cell, you are going to win a lot of ballgames.

One game against a bad offense=Peavy for Cy Young!
No one will ever hit a home run against him.
The 2009 White Sox....like a 40 degree day.
