I am not commenting one way or the other in regards to the legitimacy of this "rumor" but....
This would be typical KW tradeworks. Trade for Peavy when his value is at its lowest… at the deadline for a team no one expects to win anything, nurse him back to health, give him 3 “show me” starts, then deal him with increased value in the following offseason.
Subtract Cubs, Zambrano and Peavy from the rumor and it makes sense. It will never happen, but it does make soooome sense, on some level… somehow.

my theory is
he was afraid to use the phrase “take for granted” because, at least at that moment, he was not sure if that was a legitimate thing to say, or perhaps he just forgot the word “granted”, but obviously, he did not say “Q bomb!”. that was me. just forgot to close the quotes because Q so rudely interrupted me.
