As long as Lillypad doesn't get an RBI, I guess I don't mind him out there is cold weather for Che.
For those not aware, see the Lilli Fanpost, right rail.

When you think about it, that’s pretty hard to do–go a whole season without an RBI. If he’s smart, he’ll try NOT to get one. That way his career will be remembered for something.

The root cause of his ‘09 struggles is a ballooning HR/FB rate (15.6%). Bobby’s career HR/FB rate is 9.1, and the average for a pitcher tends to hover around 11-12%.

Pat Metzger ponders the idea as well
That being said I wonder if the White Sox would be interested. Konerko’s contract has to be up soon and they just got rid of Thome. It would be a stretch with Peavy and Rios already owed a ton of money and their farm system a little drier after giving up Peavy. But a team with Rios, Quentin, Becks, A-Ram, Fielder to go along with their pitching would be tough to beat
Posted by: Pat Metzger

63 ribbies to Elvis' 35.
Might be Niemann or the OAK closer, though.

I don't really think there was much at all...
there was that stretch where he just wasn’t really effective when he had the blister issues, walked some extra guys… I don’t think you could have expected him to allow only 15 HR again…

does the K/BB ratio partially explain the jump in FIP?
about HR, the HR/FB went up a few percent, not sure if that’s a big jump either.

I would assume the K/BB ratio had much to do with the blister issues
the HR is standard regression..

or it was him not hitting at and them having justin upton?
one arm injury in 2003 and he has a history. breaking your hand doesn’t count towards injury history.
missed at least 40-50 games in 2007
due to right hamstring and shoulder injuries

(for WU) close-enough OPOS ;)
Flourless Chocolate Cake
A simple and decadent Passover favorite.
Passover’s dietary restrictions are difficult enough, but making a kosher-for-Passover dessert that tastes great can seem like another form of slavery. The absence of leavening agents leaves many a baker bereft at the prospect of an overly dry, leaden Passover dessert.
Enter the flourless chocolate cake. Clearly, this dessert does not have its roots in the Exodus from Egypt, but is has rightfully been appropriated by the Jewish people as a Passover favorite. Simple and decadent, this cake has many varieties, most with just a few ingredients.
Think of it as fudge for grown-ups. It can be made a day or two in advance of the seder, then spirited out of the fridge an hour or two before serving.
Try to use the best-quality chocolate and vanilla you can find, and if you’re not serving this dish after a meat meal, by all means substitute butter for the margarine.
Serves 12
2 sticks margarine or butter
10 ounces good-quality semisweet or bittersweet chocolate
6 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup confectioner’s sugar
Mint sprigs and assorted berries for garnish
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 10-inch springform pan, then line bottom of pan with parchment paper. In a small saucepan, chocolate and margarine and cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until completely melted. Remove from heat and let cool. In a large workbowl, combine sugar, cocoa, and salt with a whisk until incorporated. Add eggs and vanilla and whisk until smooth. Add 1/3 of chocolate mixture and stir until incorporated; repeat with remaining 2/3 of chocolate. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 40 minutes, until just set but still soft in the center. Let cool completely. Sift confectioner’s sugar over the top of the cake, and garnish with mint and berries.

how much is in a 'stick' of butter?
I know not of such obscure measurements, and anyway, don’t you think it’s about time you lot embraced the metric system of coounting out instead of all this bollocks like cups and fucking spoons, no wonder all you eat are burgers and hot dogs, no one can decipher any of the recipies
i think 1/2 cup

Tommy John surgery, torn labrum, plantar fascitis, and now apparently a recurring knee problem.
And a broken wrist does factor into an injury history. It’s not like he has a track record of major league success.
The 2009 White Sox....like a 40 degree day.
