Beckham out with sore right side
As it turns out, White Sox rookie Gordon Beckham didn't leave Saturday's game in the bottom of the first inning with a stiff back.
"My right front side," Beckham said after the White Sox beat the Red Sox 5-1.
Beckham felt discomfort on his last swing during batting practice.
...
Manager Ozzie Guillen said Beckham will not be in the lineup against Boston Sunday afternoon.

If Lester is a man, this game should be over in less than 2 hours.

Ugh Castro
I’d rather see how Flowers does against a good major league pitcher than see more of Castro

i doubt the pitching staff feels the same way as you.

why cause they are still in a playoff race? Give me a break!
what’s the point in calling Flowers up if he isn’t going to get experience in handling next year pitching staff? It’s great that he gets bullpen sessions but give the guy a live game to call

no. john danks has an arbitration case to win this offseason. i think he'd like a guy who knows a bit about calling a major league game helping.
what’s the point? one doesn’t learn only by doing.

I'm paying his salary so I don't care about his raise
Castro didn’t catch MB before and how did that turn out…wait, I think I helped and hurt my cause at the same time
I am being sarcastic with the headline but I think Danks is getting a substantial raise no matter how this start turns out

what percentage of correct answers do you think tyler flowers would give to white sox pitchers' repertoires? velocity? movement? location?
how about red sox hitters? we’re not talking about a guy with cat-like reflexes in flowers, either. give the guy more than six days to get up to speed. maybe catch a bullpen session or two with the starters?

nonsense
play him now!!! If he’s good, he’s good. Just like that catcher of ours in single A. Why is he wasting away down there? Call him up!

what made Mark so effective in that game on 7/23
Castro called a lot of changeups rather than cutters which changed the book on Mark for Rays hitters. Didn’t work out for the next couple of games for MB but it did that game. So Flowers should only expect to catch games that Torres gets the ball?

“give the guy more than six days to get up to speed.”

It really doesnt matter how many games we're back
If we get on a roll and win, say 18 of 22, we WILL be back in this.

Peavy threw a bullpen of close to 60 pitches. Said he used all of his pitches, although didn't air it all out, but felt good.

“Big improvement from the [minor league] start I tried to make just because,we had some time [to rest],” Peavy said after throw nearly 60 pitches. "Hopefully we’re on the right track now without any setbacks. As crazy as this has been, who knows?
“I certainly would love to pitch now.”
Peavy is expected to throw another bullpen in two to three days and then at least one simulated game before making his Sox debut, perhaps in 10-12 days if all goes well.

I like 2010.
Although I finally saw Rios live today. Sheesh – no clue up there.

He's actually gotten worse
Seems like his stance has changed from the first game I saw him. He seems completely lost… I wonder whats going on there. Add to that – the boos have started to rain down on him
One catch (and 1 hit) does not make you a major league player... or does it?

No.
5/22 meetup was the last time I visited.
How was the interview?
