Keith Law says Sox have worst farm system in MLB
30. Chicago White Sox
They don't spend money in the draft, they don't spend much in Latin America except for Cuban free agents who might be closer to the big leagues, they've been quick to trade prospects for major league value when they were contending, and their first overall pick from 2008, future star Gordon Beckham, is already ineligible for this list (one of only two first-rounders from 2008 to do so).
They did take on a little more risk than usual with their first draft pick in 2009, outfielder Jared Mitchell, a high-ceiling, two-sport college player, who is probably their best shot at getting an impact player from anyone in their system right now.

" I want to show you something, it my shocked face"
"ass hole thi is the same line up whit leftys you idiot"
See, this is why MLB needs expansion.

What a great offseason
Pierre and Mandruw Kojones starting on the big league club and the worst farm system in baseball. At least they signed a backup catcher.
Mandruw Kojones
sounds way more badass than that combo is likely to be. we’ll probably end up with something more along the lines of Andark Jontsay.
Worse than the Astros. Sure, Keith.
I couldn’t figure it out yesterday, but it came to me at 4am. Then I understood the FOGhat, laughed so hard I farted, and went back to bed.
arizona 27, houston 28
he liked the astros last 2 drafts under their new scouting director and apparent increased interest in latin america. az got points for having the best draft of 2009 according to keith. st louis was 29 after promoting rasmus and trading away the rest of their top prospects.
while i’d expect them to be toward the bottom, the sox didn’t seem to get much credit for flowers or hudson, who should certainly still count as top prospects.
Hey, we are very interested in Latin America.
Cuba is Latin America. And we’re retooling after our LA director was involved with graft and gay bars. How quickly can you turn around a crooked and gay battleship?

i don't know, the sox using a fishing boat when the situation calls for a battleship sounds about right.

But
can a rotating series of gay fishing boats take down a gay battleship?

I long for the good old days when the farm system was loaded with can't miss studs
like Rauch and Borchard and BA. Wonder if they’ll wear a Sox cap when they are inducted into Cooperstown.
Wait a second... Why does anyone give a shit what Keith Law thinks?
Keith Law left Chris Carpenter off of his CY Young ballot. He’s an ignorant tool who could easily be replaced by a number of people who post this site.

i was gonna say
maybe he has some weird system where hudson had become no longer a “prospect” through service time, but after looking at other guys on the list my idea is wrong.

He has Huddy as the Sox #3 prospect overall
There’s a school of thought that says Hudson has already reached his max potential and is likely a 4/5 starter type. This is obviously what Law believes.
Can you post his White Sox top ten?
by Off the bus running on Jan 28, 2010 12:27 PM CST up reply actions
sure
1. Tyler Flowers, C
2. Jared Mitchell, CF/RF
3. Dan Hudson, RHP
4. Jordan Danks, OF
5. Trayce Thompson, OF
6. Brent Morel, 3B
7. Dayan Viciedo, 3B/1B/DH
8. David Holmberg, LHP
9. Miguel Gonzalez, C
10. Nathan Jones, RHP
Keith Law is Phil Rogers
And now everything makes sense.
Stoopit, dogshit smelling sense.
From Law's chat -- clearly not much of a Hudson fan
Dan Hudson (Chicago)
I need an explanation on why I didn’t make your top 100. I dominated every league in existence last season!

good news
I have a 1.5 year old and the first 3-mos were hell, but after you get through that stretch the sleeping pattern gets much better.
I used to wake up all night with the baby and feed her – my mind was totally shot. I used to think about crazy ways for the Sox to change the roster, lineups, etc. But, I think those times with her were actually pretty special….even though your tired as hell, you gotta remember these are the good times. Now if I would go off on a music tangent for 50 lines I would sound like HSA. good luck!

The worst part is having the wife on the bench for six weeks
That and not sleeping will drive you nuts. Glad those days are behind me.
The Cubs are not a baseball team. They are a baseball-themed marketing company that hosts frat parties for post grads and tourists.
not sleeping makes you a little crazy, but I got used to it.
I actually liked the quiet time with the baby. Probably because my wife was a ragin’ hormonal loon at the time and always bitching at me. Only quiet time I got.

Whose sleeping pattern?
Ours took 9 months. A long 9 months.
I couldn’t figure it out yesterday, but it came to me at 4am. Then I understood the FOGhat, laughed so hard I farted, and went back to bed.
The babies sleeping pattern
our daughter was a colicky mess (allergic to milk) for the first month and all she did was cry and scream. She was up every hour or two. Then the next two months it slowly got better and by month 4 she was occasionally sleeping through the night and at most getting up once. By 6 mos. she was sleeping through the night.
It all depends on the kid I guess.

as my buddy told me though… you have a girl now. you won’t sleep the night for 40 years.
