I've haven't been following music much over the last several months since I moved to CH, but over the next few weeks I'm attending a few interesting shows including No Age this weekend, Spectrum (ex-Spacemen 3) next week, and the Residents in a few weeks. Obscure bands to many, but not to me..

There's a fantastic record shop down a couple blocks from where I live, but unfortunately records fetch for $30 and cd's for $25 on average. Fuck that, I'm not spending $30 on an LP. Although I picked up a reissue of the first NEU! record. Otherwise, I'm downloading sporadically off of Emusic. The new No Age rocks, my guess is that richdork thinks that they haven't expanded on their sound much. but I don't really give a shit, it's pretty much their best album thus far.

I can use some non-richdork recommendations, what have you been listening too?

Oh, on a last note, I came across some M.O.T.O. mp3s. Damn, I miss seeing that band live (the last time was a few years ago in Boston). I have also read that singer from that band moved down to his native New Orleans, Chicago's loss for sure.
