I am new to fan posts and it may be a bad decision to start with trade scenarios. I am a fan however, and I just can't help myself. I just finished reading Keith Law's blog where he discusses the Upton situation. This can be found at http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/blog?name=law_keith&id=5824302. He says that it will take two guys contributing already and two from the farm. I am curious what anyone here thinks is a legit package that would land him. Personally, I feel Gavin Floyd, Carlos Quentin and Mark Teahen should get it done, but I also don't believe it. Then the question becomes who is off-limits in the farm system. Giving up Jared Mitchell would be a tough pill to swallow, although maybe not considering Upton is not much older and his obvious upside. We already know that Kenny is trying to package Teahen and Floyd to remove some salary, and the Diamondbacks taking that salary on would not make very much sense. That being said, Keith Law seems to believe that Towers feels some urgency. Adding Gavin Floyd and Carlos Quentin even while subtracting Justin Upton would put a better team on the field, at least in terms of the ability to contend late in the year. There are obviously some problems with my proposition, but like I said, I knew that I was asking for trouble with this post. Any thoughts out there?
