A 30-year All-Star Team
I don't know how many of you read my 25 for 25: White Sox FanPost a while back, but I just posted something similar. This time it is a 30 year All-Star team, with one player from each year and one player from each team, making a 30-man roster.
Since it covers all of the MLB franchises, I figured that I would link it to all of the SBN sites and get everyone's opinion. Please leave your thoughts here and I will respond when I can.

Thomas in 1994
That would have been a great season to take, but it had two major things going against it: Jeff Bagwell in ’94 and Edgar Martinez in ’95.
Bags had a season, extrapolated out to 162 games (12.6 bWAR, 11.1 fWAR, 13.2 WARP1), that was roughly on par with Barry Bonds’ 2001, so it would have been tough to choose another first baseman (9.0 bWAR, 10.4 fWAR, 10.8 WARP1) over him. If you don’t pick Bagwell, then you have Greg Maddux to contend with (11.4 bWAR, 9.9 fWAR, 12.9 WARP1).
Edgar Martinez is important because he and Frank have by far the two best DH seasons. When Maddux gets bumped off of ’94 and has to settle for ’95 AND Alex Rodriguez claims the Mariners spot, that removes Edgar and leaves the designated hitter to The Big Hurt (or I could find a 6-win DH like David Ortiz or Paul Molitor, and really screw this thing up).
As for Albert Belle, he had a great year, but not such a great one as to warrant picking it over Frank. Besides, the Padres needed that season or, if not them, it would have been a better choice for Ivan Rodriguez. Belle is squeezed out because of the numbers game more than anything else.
