Marvin Miller Misses Hall by One Vote
A Web site, ThanksMarvin.com, is filled with testimonials to Miller. The site, which was created about six months ago by Bob Locker, the former Chicago White Sox relief pitcher, also pushed Miller’s candidacy, although its original intent was to show gratitude to the labor leader. "All of professional sports was changed by what he did," Locker said in an interview Monday. "He ought to have a statue in front of the Baseball Hall of Fame — and every other sports hall of fame."
