I would love for him to throw just well enough to give them hope so they waste half a season or more on nursing the injury before they finally get him the surgery. I wouldn’t mind not seeing him again at the start of next year.

I dunno...
I was hoping he would outright suck so we wouldn’t have to waste a bullpen spot on him, or the pain of watching him implode. I haven’t seen him pitch yet, but his numbers so far indicate he’ll be in the pen come opening day. I guess he’s giving me some mixed feelings, but odds are he’s going to suck in 3 months unless he’s developed a plus pitch.
