Recap of base ball game played on 21st April 2010 between the Semi-Pro "Chicago White Sox" Base ball club and the "Tampa Bay Rays" of American Major League fame

Look at the score, it was crap! Play of the game was a failed bunt

I bet if the Perfect Game was single and believed that horsecrap about opposites attract, he would find this game on match.com and send it an e-mail that says something like, "hey, you seem great, i think we'd really get along, your profile is really interesting and not like the other profiles on here" and the perfect game would be all, "people either love me or hate me, there's no in between, i'm really quiet until you get to know me and then i can't stop talking and i say what's on my mind so hopefully you can handle that" and they'd have children that would look like that no-hitter that should've been a perfect game but juan uribe borked it up.

I miss Juan Uribe. Mark Teahan has cool dogs but man, try hitting something, how's that sound

mark teahen is the least of the problems. 3rd highest OPS on the team (not counting donny lucy)

why don’t you ask pierre, aj, beckham, alexei and quentin to try hitting something.

Bingo

Remember the 2006 Minnesota Twins?

The White Sox started the season where they left off the year before. The Twins were hovering underneath .500 until June – when Morneau and Hunter started hitting.

I’m not saying this team is capable of the same turnaround. But it is not THIS bad.

And if it is this bad – then it’s time for Jerry to make some hard decisions about the people who mis-spent $104 million of his money.

Another thing – I’m starting to think Arizona got the better of the Carlos Quentin deal. He was good for most of one season, and has been fairly mediocre ever since. If trends continue, Arizona will have a slugging first baseman, and Bellflower, California will have the most intense high school baseball coach in its history.

They shipped Carter to Oakland for some guy named Dan Haren.

In return they received Chris Carter, Brett Anderson, Dana Eveland, Aaron Cunningham, and two guys they later sent to Colorado for some guy named Matt Holliday- Carlos Gonzales and Greg Smith.

It was a huge haul for Oakland, and then they pissed away two good pieces of it.

Of course then they got Brett Wallace for Holliday, who they then sent to Toronto for Michael Taylor.

Arizona got our other potentially slugging first baseman for Tony Pena.

You're right

I forgot that Carter was eventually dealt. But they were able to turn Carlos Quentin into years of Dan Haren. While Quentin has been….Quentin.

That's not really fair to put it that way

They turned Carlos Quentin and a bunch of other good players into years of Dan Haren.

I was probably pissing on him.

I ride the roller coaster.
When the Sox lose it ruins my day and I hate them.
When they win, its rainbows and lollipops.
Every single day.

i liked juan for the most part

and have missed him occasionally but admit to wishing i would never see him again at times as well.
here’s one of my favorites:

After batting practice one morning, Podsednik’s teammate Uribe sheepishly confirmed his lectures to his bats (his beloved "Hoosier HB 23" models). "I tell them: ‘Do your job and if you don’t do your job, I’m going to have to go back to the Dominican Republic,’ " Uribe said in Spanish. "Sometimes they listen; sometimes they don’t."

Uribe's gonna sacrifice a live chicken... to his belly.
