Bobby has been giving us heart attack worthy performances since last year… its not just “one fucking game”… if it was then we would not be making such a big deal about it. He looked like garbage in Spring Training this year anyways..
He is lucky that he has been put in so few save situations this year

haha, but i'm in the land of swiss and we got our own benjamins (the swiss franc)
but yeah life is good. i feel like my quality of life has improved considerably since leaving boston. work is stimulating, but nobody is stressed out yet everyone is productive. and basel is pretty cool for a small city. arts and music is heavily promoted and we live a couple blocks away from the rhine where everybody hangs out during the warm season. i also like how basel’s on the border with germany and france, and we made some trips to freiborg and colmar and expect to make many more. it will be a fun two years. if you anticipate traveling through these parts, you and the plus two are more than welcome to visit here.

he’s currently sporting a BABIP of .478! That will come down, hopefully hard. His K/9 is up from 8.27 to 11.77! That should regress too, but I think he’s just been unlucky so far. Unless he starts blowing saves regularly I just don’t see a need for a change. By all means though I’m for Thornton / Jenks matchup closing.

here's something that i've been thinking about in regards to K/9
it seems that a lot of times guys’ Ks are up when they’re getting hammered. i don’t think that seems like much of a positive to take from the situation. wouldn’t it be more relevant to look at his K/at-bats? i mean, if his whip is 1 and he Ks 9/9, then he’s striking out 1 player out of 4. if he’s facing another batter per inning, and striking out 25% more per 9, then how is he striking out more people? he’s doing it at the same rate, just facing more people.
